With a filmmaking legacy spanning over seven decades, Xantus Film LTD. is a Transylvania-based independent boutique production company founded by documentary filmmakers Gabor and Aron Xantus. The company specializes in high-quality, character-driven productions with relevant, distinctive, and artistic content, covering stories in more than 60 countries across all seven continents—including Antarctica.

Shedding light on underrepresented communities, forgotten and often overlooked historical events, we are committed to creating powerful stories that cross borders. We focus on compelling characters and urgent global issues to change how people relate to the natural world, deepen understanding and empathy, and expand the potential of documentary filmmaking.

Our work highlights critical social justice and sustainable development issues, sparking debates and challenging stereotypes.

Our films have won over 29 national and international awards, including the Award for Best Television Film from the Romanian Filmmakers Union (UCIN) and the Diploma of Academic Merit from the Romanian Academy.
